Our Election

It will be a scary one! I think it is important to take a look at what each want America to look at before we put our name on the ballot, don’t you?

When I say Democrat I am not talking about your neighbor who has always voted Democrat. The word Democrat has been taken over by people who call themselves Progressive Democrats. I will write a few of just how they want to change America: They want no Religious rights at all. In fact they want God taken off the Pledge of Allegiance. They want to take away all guns, and do away with the second amendment. They would make abortion good until the baby is ready to be born, and even if the baby has been born, they will kill it if the doctor and the mother agree. This has happened once, that I know of. They want to get rid of all fossil fuel in America. I don’t know much about that except it sounds like they want to get rid of things like gas in cars and trains and manufacture plants. There is much more but these things they have listed.

I know some of you don’t like President Trump. Part of my family feels the way many of you do. You don’t like his tweets or some of his language. I don’t either. Some of you don’t even like his looks. But Remember, he is not a politition, he is a business man. And what he promised, he has delivered. He has done only what he could as far as health care is concerned because of a very inactive Congress. He says he will do all he can as far as Coronovirus is concerned. He will keep on with what he started to do before the virus came to all of us. He will keep the second amendment and concern for all religions. Our economy will grow and be the best in the world. He is pro life and does not like late term abortions at all. I don’t understand all his foreign affairs stuff, but I do know he has done quite a bit of good things! He will make American great again!

I figure I can do no less. I will vote for President Trump! May God bless you as you make your selection. These are some of the things I have heard out of their own mouths and I believe they are right!

Smoke And Fire

What do I think about when I hear the word smoke?

Well, I see a white farm house on a very cold day. It is snuggled down beside several maple and birch trees. A Mama, Daddy and 2 kids are sitting around a glowing fireplace, but I am outside watching a curling piece of smoke drifting slowly towards the sky. That sounds cozy, doesn’t it?

What do I think about when I hear the word fire?

Mama, Daddy and the two kids still live in that white farm house. It is autumn and leaves have been falling from the maple and birch trees. Daddy raked some of them up. After dinner, they hurried outdoors to sit around the pile of leaves Daddy had raked up. Then, Daddy took a match out of his pocket and lit the pile of leaves. The fire lit up the happy faces and they started singing. Wasn’t that a cozy picture?

Well, that’s not what we see today, is it? No, today we turn on our television sets and watch whole towns burned up and fire is everywhere. My daughter and her husband were evacuated and they quickly put some things together and moved into their travel trailer. I guess I am happy they had a place to go. they moved the trailer into their son’s home.

But we have smoke! We must stay indoors, but even that is getting smoky. The states of Oregon and Washington are joining the state of California in having their states nearly consumed by wildfires. It did take our minds off the virus though. Maybe we should keep our minds on the two stories above, huh? Pray often for the folks who are really having a rough time, won’t you? Remember, God will take us through all of this. He really will!
