Have you ever thought about that? Have you ever wondered what He thinks when you tell a lie, get in a fight, or entered a place He certainly wouldn’t go into? You know He entered this world as a little baby just for you. He knew He would die for your sins when he grew up, yet He played with the neighborhood kids and scrubbed his knees just like the rest of the kids. And when He grew up He was often laughed at and scorned by many. But he loved them. When the soldiers came to arrest Him, He went with them without a word. He was tortured so badly the people standing around said they couldn’t recoognize Him. They hung him on a tree and He died, just for you and me and everyone else in this world if only they accept Him.
He rose again on the third day, just as He said He would, and later He went into Heaven and sat down on the right side of His Father, also because He loves you. Now, He will listen to your prayers, heal your sicknesses and answers your prayers. That 33 years He spent on this earth was for one thing only. He loves you and knew there were very few people who could enter Heaven if He didn’t come here to die.
When we look at the world today, we see the same sinful place as when Jesus was born. We haven’t given the love back to him that we should have. We know now that Jesus died for our sins and so we go right on sinning. We haven’t loved Him as we should have. Will God come down and straighten us out again? He still loves us. We don’t seem to be fixing up our world by ourselves, do we?
