Merry Christmas!

It’s really not Christmas, is it? Still seems like summer to me, but it is cold outside, so I’m sure Christmas is coming soon. But I missed out on picnics and camping in the summer time. Every day is the same these days of Covid.

But, I decided it must be Christmas so I got out my old ornaments and went to work. The more I worked the better I felt. With Christmas music around me, I decided to sing. Yes, it was Christmas! As I looked around at my family Room, living room and kitchen, I was proud at how they all shined again. I was very happy that the lights still worked too.

Then, I began to feel sorry for myself. “Why, there wont be anybody to come and see it,” I thought, knowing our State has said we should celebrate with only the people we live with. Well, I live with my son and our cat, neither one cares too much about ornaments. Although my son has tried to really look at them. I appreciate that.

Then my feeling sorry for myself left as I knew the following was true. Jesus will always be here! He will enjoy my ornaments. He has promised never to leave me or forsake me. He is the best Christmas present ever! He has taken all my sins away. What could be better than that? How wonderful it is to know that He is here, and I could walk with him and talk with Him! Oh, I hope that your friend is Jesus too. He is a friend you can count on, no matter how you feel. All you have to do is ask him to come in and forgive your sins. He will be your friend forever. Have a blessed Christmas!
