.Have you ever found that you have the strength to do something you never thought possible? It happens once in awhile and you may wonder how you did it.
My uncle had surgery many years ago but Mom never forgot what happened that day. Mom and Dad were visiting him in the hospital and his room still smelled awful of ether. Mom was talking to her brother when she heard a thump. She turned around and found Dad had passed out and landed with his head against the hot radiator. She was eight months pregnant, but she knew she had to move him to a safer place, So she picked him up and carried him to a chair! She always wondered how she did that.
I have had a similar experience. My husband, Frank, was retreating an envelope from the garbage when he fell and broke his hip. All I could think about at that time was that I had to get him into the house. Now I am a rather small woman and Frank was a six foot man. but I picked him up and carried him to a chair inside the house. How in the world did I do that? The kids don’t seem to care about that, but they say, “Why didn’t you use your head and call 911?” I don’t know why anymore than why Mom didn’t call a nurse! But we both had the strength to do what we thought was best.
God knows everything about us from birth to death. The Bible even tells us that he cared us even before birth. So when strength is needed, he provides. Remember that He loves us very much. That is important to know in this time of waiting, waiting for what, we don’t know. Everything is so mixed up and we don’t know how to fix it. I know! Just keep trusting God. He knows the plan and will make everything okay. We have prayed haven’t we? If you haven’t prayed, shame on you. Just ask him to fix America and get rid of this virus, and he will provide. Even when there should have been a better way for Mom and I, God provided the strength we needed.
